MarioCo.Dance, founded a few years back by Tracy Marion, is a supremely athletic jazz-dance troupe, but its principals can’t keep their hands (and feet) out of other folks’ genres, frequently collaborating with fellow Valley artists and dipping into the forms of contemporary ballet, modern, and even burlesque.

Their new spring show, Momentum: Combat Boots and Pointe Shoes, partners with Terpsichore Ballet Company and features guest choreographers Trisha Kelly, Alicia Cardoza, and Bridgette Caron.

One of the epic new ensemble pieces, “50 Shades of Gaga,” includes aggressive cane work and the dead-sexy “hair-ography” technique. (We can vouch that the full-scalp teasing swish is more difficult than it looks, let alone in unison with others.) Despite the unavoidable physicality, the performance is suitable for all ages and runs the gamut of beautiful images, moving stories, and emotional peaks.

Fri., April 26, 7:30 p.m.; Sat., April 27, 7:30 p.m., 2013
