Costume? Check. Drinking money? Yup. The phone number for a reliable cab company? Locked in. Looks like you’re ready to hit the town for some Halloween revelry. So where do you go from here? If our All Hallow’s Eve party guide (see page 44) doesn’t provide enough options, consider heading for Apollo’s Lounge, 5749 North Seventh Street, on Friday, October 25, for an evening of hip thrills, cheap booze, and tastemaking tunes. The organizers of dive bar’s weekly RAD! affair will be putting on their Skull & Bones Halloween Party Massive, which will feature close to a dozen DJs spinning electro, indie, disco, and retro sounds. The lineup includes such RAD! residents as William Reed, Kevin M.O.B., and Skyler O’Hara, as well as Joseph Mercado, Deux Yeux, Julio Adonis, and Julian French. Local artist Lalo Cota will provide face painting, old-school horror films will be screened, and drink specials include two-for-one Jack Daniel’s all night.
