The city of Toronto has been gobbling up a lot of headlines lately, or, at least, its mayor has. And the man looks like he knows how to gobble. Meanwhile, the Toronto Raptors have clawed their way to a tenuous division lead, which is rather newsworthy considering they share a division with the mighty Knicks and Nets.
But Jason Kidd’s Nets are in shambles and the Knicks’ bloated payroll is yielding paltry returns. That has allowed the T-Raps to sneak into first place despite wallowing at the .500 mark heading into December. The Phoenix Suns haven’t had such a luxury. Though their record has closely mirrored Toronto’s thus far, it has only earned them a spot in the middle of the Pacific division.
