It takes a talented photographer to capture a landscape that engages its viewer. But longtime Arizona resident Mark Klett, a geographer-turned-fine artist, has captured beautiful and baffling images over the past three decades. Klett works in both color and black-and-white images, creating eerie stills and collages that reveal a sprawling southwestern landscape that’s varied, peppered with inimitable details, and full of history.
Lisa Sette Gallery displays a beautiful variety of the artist’s works in “Response to History: A 30 Year Retrospective,” on view through Saturday, December 28, at 4142 North Marshall Way.
