Whether a video game’s for fun or medical rehab, whether a film is The Hangover or Shoah, such projects require artists. If they’re Herberger Institute for Design and the Arts students working toward Bachelor of Fine Arts degrees in Intermedia at ASU’s School of Art, they apply technique to road-less-traveled media such as time and data to produce visual, sound, installation, and performance work ranging from whimsical to socially fraught.
Spring 2014’s six candidates show off in “Anything Goes,” an exhibition opening Monday, February 24, from noon to 5 p.m. and continuing through Friday, February 28, with an opening reception at 6 p.m. Tuesday, February 25. The group’s earlier projects include everything from documentaries to cool manga-style characters, plus impressive extracurricular achievements.
