If you’re looking to gain a new perspective on things, maybe it’s time to kick your legs up and turn your world upside down, courtesy of the Demystify Inversions yoga workshop at Yoga Pura.
Led by local yogini Britt Canese, this class is open to all levels of yoga experience — as long as you’re willing to let a little blood rush to your head. Don’t worry though. Benefits from inversion poses are said to include stress relief, increased mental acuity, and improved blood circulation. Plus, all of those slow, sustained upside down leg lifts should help you tone your core, too.
Get ready to flip your yoga practice around on Saturday, August 23, from 1 until 3:30 p.m. at 15440 North Seventh Street. The inversion intensive runs $45 per student, and you can reserve your spot by calling 602-843-7872. For more information, visit www.yogapura.com.
