If you’re a fan of shows such as The Next Food Network Star or Chopped, then you probably already recognize chef Aarti Sequeira, host of Taste in Translation on The Cooking Channel and winner of The Next Food Network Star Season 6. This Sunday the celebrity chef will be in town to help kick off the Artist in Residence dinner series at Lon’s at The Hermosa. The evening will begin with a meet-and-greet, followed by a four-course wine-paired dinner prepared by the Lon’s culinary team. The night will conclude with a salon-style evening; Sequeira will share “how-to’s” on cooking with traditional Indian flavors and demo a recipe from her new cookbook AARTI PAARTI, An American Kitchen with an Indian Soul. The dinner costs $99 a person and begins at 6:30 p.m. For reservations call 602 955-7878.
