$15,000

By now you’re probably familiar with Movember. The campaign to “change the face” of men’s health has accrued quite a bit of pop culture capital in recent years. But did you know that so-called mo bros raised a cool $22.9 million in 2013? So that unkempt coworker who’s been changing his face lately might very well be saving your balls. Thank him. If you’d like to get involved, the annual Mustache Dache is your ticket. The light-hearted, somewhat irreverent 5K provides all participants — cookie duster or not — with a boisterous opportunity to support the cause. Think of yourself as an altruistic jock strap. Plus, you get a sweet mustache bottle opener medal thingy. The Dache takes place at 9 a.m. Saturday, November 29, at Tempe’s Kiwanis Park, 6111 South All American Way. There’s a $45 registration fee. For details, visit www.mustachedache.com/phoenix.
