Whether you’re not married but want to be, married but would rather not be, or content with life as it is (hey, it happens), there should be something to amuse you in the charmingly titled You Say Tomato, I Say Shut Up! The anecdotal play by Emmy-winner Jeff Kahn and NPR commentator Annabelle Gurwitch, who are also married to each other, follows the Tomato book, which was inspired by the authors’ relationship. The show’s Phoenix run continues through Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Herberger Theater Center, 222 East Monroe Street. At the 7 p.m. performance Wednesday, December 24, you might even meet someone else who’s also single and also hates their family. Tickets are $39.50 to $49.50 at www.herbergertheater.org or 602-252-8497.

Wednesdays, Thursdays, 7 p.m.; Fridays, 8 p.m.; Saturdays, 2 & 8 p.m.; Sundays, 2 & 5:30 p.m.; Thursdays, 2 p.m. Starts: Dec. 24. Continues through Jan. 25, 2014
