Zuul, the evil demon in possession of Dana Barrett, spent most of his presence in Ghostbusters waiting for Vince Clortho. Turns out, the fiendish ghoul could have just bought a ticket to 2 Pianos, 4 Hands to encounter some keymasters. Canadian playwrights Ted Dykstra and Richard Greenblatt penned the tale following the arc of two classical piano students, Ted and Richard, from the first notes of “Chopsticks” to being virtuosos. The four hands of the two actors performing also take on multiple roles as figures along the way of the journey toward musical stardom.
2 Pianos, 4 Hands is at Phoenix Theatre, 100 East McDowell Road, through Sunday, February 1. The Thursday, January 15, show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets range from $30 to $75. For more info, visit www.phoenixtheatre.com.
