Although other places in the nation pridefully boast their barbecue prowess, one Phoenix restaurant is showing America what the Valley has to offer fans of smoked meat. Bobby Q was ranked among the top thirty BBQ joints in the nation by Open Table’s Diners’ Choice awards after about a decade of serving up great ‘cue to Phoenicians.

After analyzing more than 5 million reviews of BBQ joints across the United States, Open Table awarded Bobby Q a spot on the best list, joining prolific restaurants like Dinosaur Bar-B-Que in New York and more. The Open Table awards looked at more than 19,000 restaurants across the country.
Bobby Q is known for its slow-cooked meats, roasted over almond and mesquite woods, and flavored with a secret blend of spices in the Bobby-Q dry rub. Owner Bob Sikora developed his cooking technique after ten years of researching master barbecuers from all over America. That research apparently paid off, as the restaurant was also recently ranked as the third best Metro Phoenix restaurant in 2014 by Trip Advisor.
