Mornin’ Moonshine
Today
Downtown Phoenix, you’ve got a new option for coffee. This morning DJ Fernandez, the man behind well-loved local spots Tuck Shop and Vovomeedna, debuts his latest concept, a small coffee shop called Mornin’ Moonshine. Located at 111 W. Monroe Street (on the ground floor of the office building), the coffee shop will focus on coffee with some pastries available from local bakeries. The new coffee spot takes its name from the Mornin’ Moonshine cold-brew coffee that’s been available at Vovomeena for some time now. Made with Japanese brewing systems, the cold brew comes in a variety of unique flavors such as orange peel ginger and lemon jalapeno. For more information, check the Vovomeena Facebook page.

Posh Restaurant
Tuesday, March 24
Like ramen? Yeah, us too. And this week two of our favorite local spots for the Japanese noodle dish are teaming up for a ramen swap. On Tuesday, chefs Joshua Hebert of Posh in Scottsdale, and Jared Lupin and Rebecca Noorda of Umami in Tempe, will be slinging ramen together at Posh. The menu will include four types of Posh ramen, okonomiyaki (Japanese savory pancake), and a ramen special created by the Umami chefs that will be available for $12. The event goes from 5 to 9 p.m.
