Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?
Food Day What the hell is Food Day? We have the answer. Food Day is an organization dedicated to promoting sustainable, healthy food consumption and to making healthy foods more accessible. We hate the name but we love the idea. When is Food Day? Funny you should ask — it’s today. Celebrate Food Day by attending an event in your neighborhood. Yesterday, the folks at the Roosevelt Grow House harvested their organic goods to be used in restaurants around the Valley. Stop by Beckett’s Table, Tammie Coe/MJ Breads, Windsor, St. Francis, and more for specialty dishes created for Food Day. Click here for more info and a complete list of restaurants and events.
Halloween TreatsThe countdown to Halloween has begun! We hope you have your costumes ready and have started your party planning. First thing on the Halloween menu — dessert. These Death by Chocolate Cups are super adorable. Plus, they contain yogurt which automatically makes them healthy. Check ’em out here.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
