Independent Journalism in Phoenix Needs You
We need to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the reporting our community depends on. Reader support keeps us independent and is playing a larger role in funding local journalism and shaping what comes next. If you believe independent local journalism matters, make a contribution today.
Wow. There are like six sandwich shops on Mill. I dropped in opening day to get a taste of the “hand-pulled” turkey sandwiches I’d heard so much abut from the latest addition to the Mill Ave. sandwich scene. The shop on Mill and University has their work cut out for them especially with a Quizno’s opening right next door (who let that happen?). On a scale of 1 – 10, this place gets a 6. Their bread just doesn’t come close to Jimmy John’s. This is an easy one. Do you know where I’m eating?

Last week, we hit the quaint, blink and you’ll miss it, downtown restaurant Centurion. We could eat that simple salad for days and the stuffed mushroom were just as awesome. Mai-Li Le of Tempe was the first to answer correctly. Good job, your Sweet Tomatoes passes are in the mail!
