Since the early-season Denver-Detroit swap of Iverson for Billups, the latter’s hard, smart play has ratcheted the Nuggets up a notch in the tough Western hierarchy. Meanwhile, AI has dragged the once-formidable Pistons down to his gutless-wonder level.
That’s good news for the Mile High City, bad news for the PHX, whose Phoenix Suns now have yet another hurdle to bound in their increasingly quixotic quest for playoffs success.
