If you’ve seen a baby discover his own booger, you’re on your way to understanding the universal appeal of disgustingness. “It is human nature to be attracted to anything that makes you go ‘eww,'” says Kristin Priscella, senior director of communications for the center. “It changes your perception when you learn how things work: maintaining the fun but illuminating the mystery.”
