Lucky for us bloodsuckers, Desert Botanical Garden caters to our nocturnal needs with the Summer Flashlight Tour every Thursday and Saturday through August 30. Free with general admission, the tour encourages guests to poke around the desert for insects, nighthawks, tortoises, and night-blooming flowers.

Thursdays, Saturdays, 7-9 p.m. Starts: May 1. Continues through Aug. 30, 2008
