It’s the most wonderful time of the year. No, not that. Pie Social! The fifth annual event will be the sweetest ever — check out our celebrity chef line-up and sharpen your pencils, folks, because it’s time once again for Chow Bella’s Pie-Ku contest.

And you just might win a spot as a judge on November 15.

For the uninitiated, haiku is Japanese poetry, marked by the number of syllables per line. (Three lines, 5, 7 and 5 syllables, respectively.)

Make the topic pie — that part is very important — and you’ve got a Pie-Ku.

Write your best Pie-Ku and email it to amy.silverman@newtimes.com with the subject line “PIE-KU.” Deadline to enter is 5 p.m. Monday, November 10. We will notify the winner ASAP. You will need to be available from 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 15 — and you need to be ready to eat a lot of pie.

Chow Bella and Roosevelt Row present the fifth annual Pie Social from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, November 15, at the “What Should Go Here” Pop Up Park at Second and Roosevelt streets. Tasting tickets are $10 for 5 tickets (and you can share with family and friends). Or bake two pies and get 5 tickets in exchange.
