What We Ate: Stouffer’s Farmers’ Harvest Chicken & Parmesan Pasta Bake with Vegetable Medley

White chicken and parmesan pasta with a medley of broccoli, carrots and red peppers in a butter sauce.

The Facts: 310 calories, 8g fat (3.5g saturated fat), 920g sodium and 38g of carbs

Why This One: We love new things! Stouffer’s new line uses ingredients like olive oil, whole grains and sea salt. The chicken bake was the least unhealthy of the bunch. Fettuccine Alfredo is always tempting but at 29g of fat, we resisted.

Looks: After last weeks disaster, this looked pretty awesome. Mainly because it wasn’t pizza. We were pretty excited to see that it looked like actually food and not a red onion in sight. Real cheese, big chunks of chicken and veggies that weren’t giving off a scary neon glow.

Taste: Honesty, this particular dish tasted like last nights dinner, but that’s not a bad thing. We would rather eat leftovers then eat something that tastes like processed muck.

The “parmesan pasta” was a bit on the mushy side and tasted sort of like paint. No joke. It took a couple bites before we could put our finger on the off taste but it was paint. The chicken was good, It tasted like actual chicken! A rarity in the land of frozen food. It was also topped with actual cheese, another big plus! If they would have left out the haunting red peppers that frozen foods makers love to put in everything, the veggie would have been excellent compared to the other vegetable sides we have come across.

Score:  on a scale of 1- 10; we would give this a 6. It’s edible and 100 times better then a micro-pizza. We might even throw caution to the wind and try the others.
