$10,000

I hit the town last night with a couple of my darlings, and started off at what’s become an old standby, Sens. I never get tired of the food, cocktails, and relaxed vibe at chef-owner Johnny Chu’s sleek Asian tapas joint.

But I admit, it’s been a few months since my last visit — which became obvious when I rolled up and found a new bar area that opens up to a new front patio.

The bar area, tucked off to the left of the main dining room, glowed red from a big lotus-shaped ceiling lamp, and had stools along the front and back. The side opening to the patio had one of those garage-door-style windows a la Postino or St. Francis, and misters kept things cool. Out front, low-slung white banquettes and tables, and crisp white curtains along the patio fence, gave it a summery feel.

I’ll be back here soon.
