Ever since La Condesa Gourmet Taco Shop first opened earlier this year, I’ve been a big fan of the CenPho restaurant’s jaw-dropping salsa bar. Cochinita tacos and chicken mole burros are great, but the dining experience is even better thanks to the impressive selection of fresh, homemade toppings to customize every bite.
Yesterday, I stopped by for a bite and stumbled upon the best variety yet. There were 13 salsas in all, including my favorite: cilantro cream. Mmm . . .
And there were a few new ones that grabbed my attention: seven chiles (with a tangy, pickled sort of taste), pecan (smooth, creamy, and with a surprising kick), and sesame (medium spice with an alluring roasted chipotle flavor).
