Here’s a great idea that I wish Slow Food Phoenix would steal from our sister city to the south: a Slow Food film festival!
Tonight, Slow Food Tucson kicks off its fourth annual event with dinner and a movie — of course — followed by three more nights of festivities.
If you can’t make it for the whole thing, Saturday looks like the day to be there. From 1:30 to 5:30 p.m., they’ll be screening various food-centric feature and documentary shorts, as well as the Southwest premiere of the feature documentary Eating Alaska, “an exploration of food politics from our 49th state.”
Stick around until Sunday, though, and you’ll be treated to locally-raised wagyu, produce from Wilcox, and wines from Keeling-Schaefer Vineyards at Acacia restaurant.
