Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?Flavors of Phoenix 2011
Get your wallets out for this event. The 20th Annual Flavors of Phoenix is happening this Thursday. Thirty of the Valley’s top chefs, including Aaron May, Beau MacMillian, Matt Carter, Anthony DeMuro and more will invade the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa for an evening of exquisite (and expensive) eats to benefit the American Liver Foundation. Led by co-chairman Christopher Gross, each chef will be responsible for creating his or her own unique table — from linens to the five-course meal — for 12 guests. Although it sounds a lot like the recent Taste the Nation event, the price tag on this one is startling. A whooping $350 per person or $4200 for a table of 12. Click here for more details.
Pizza Pizza
We have no idea what this “cooking cream” is that Karly from Buns in My Oven is using but she sure can make a pretty pizza. White Pizza with Chicken and Tomatoes seems like just the thing for a quick weekday night meal. We might even try and hunt down this odd cream stuff she’s talking about because we want ours to be just as pretty as hers.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?
At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $15,500 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.
