Happy early Christmas to us! Just in case you haven’t heard, the much anticipated downtown Pita Jungle officially opened it’s doors yesterday. Now those us of that live, work and play downtown can finally get our fix of roasted red pepper hummus, falafel, shawarma and all of our other favorites. Pita Jungle’s 11th location has made it’s home on the corner of 3rd Avenue and Roosevelt in the restored Gold Spot shopping center which was originally built in 1925. Bonus—it has a patio! Stop by 7 days a week 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. for a healthy meal.
Turkey Taco Tuesday
Just in case you still have a boat load of left overs from Thanksgiving, we thought we would bring you one last recipe to get rid of the rest of that turkey. Beer Braised Turkey Tacos. Just skip the first couple steps and cooked up pre-shredded turkey with the rest of the ingredients. Wrap in fresh corn tortillas and top with fresh cilantro, lettuce, tomato and avocado. Super easy, super healthy, super yummy!
