If Portland’s not the next Seattle – the sonic boom town of the ’90s – then the Oregon town is at least the next Phoenix, considering all of the Valley musicians who have relocated there in the past few years. The latest defectors-to-be, Teague Cullen and Bri White, are about to take the Oregon challenge. But before they do, the local-music stalwarts bless downtown with a farewell show/CD release at Trunk Space.

Cullen, via his experimental-folk project Foot Ox, pairs beyond-his-years songwriting with everything-but-the-kitchen-sink sound orchestrations, while White, though more stripped-down musically, is no less daring, lying bare with subtly vulnerable lyrics.
