In its roughly year-long existence, The Chef’s Loft was a novel presence in the Valley culinary scene.
By day, owner Michael Murray used the 3,300-square foot space (which was located on the second floor at SouthBridge, in the same building as Metro Brasserie and Tapas Papa Frita, and had a full exhibition kitchen) as a studio for filming instructional cooking videos and culinary educational materials.
And by night, he hosted private parties, cooking classes hosted by various chefs, and even cooking “open mic nights.”
But Murray couldn’t keep up the business in that location. The Chef’s Loft closed early last week, and now Murray says he’s working on site selection to move the business to Chicago or San Francisco.
He also notes that services for the Old Town Bible Church are still being held in the space, at 10:30 a.m. on Sundays.
