Those with memories like a steel trap will remember Brugos Pizza, the family-owned gourmet pizzeria with locations in Carson City and Reno, Nevada, made a brief and ultimately failed appearance in Central Phoenix at the Camelback Esplanade — opening in April then quickly closing in July.
Now, it appears owners Christina and Troy McDonald have decided to try again. This time, at El Pedregal, the swanky shopping center at the southeast corner of Scottsdale Road and Carefree Highway.
Slated to open the first week of November, Brugos Pizza will feature 27 varieties of pizzas crafted with home made dough along with appetizers, salads, sandwiches, dessert selections, and 100 unique beer offerings from around the world.
