This Wednesday, June 5, Cartwright’s Sonoran Ranch House will serve a special menu in tribute to Legends in Levis: Old Time Cowboys. It will be the first in the Cave Creek restaurant’s “Arizona History Dinners” series, scheduled to run biweekly through the end of October.

The three courses — heirloom tomato and fresh radish salad with wild flower honey vinaigrette, mesquite wood-grilled NY strip steak with cracked peppercorn whiskey demi cream, braised appaloosa beans and cornmeal-battered onion rings, and campfire s’mores complete with chocolate cake — will be accompanied by Marshall Trimble, Arizona’s official state historian. Live music will be provided by Gary Dirodis.
All “Arizona History Dinners” are $55 per person (plus tax and gratuity) and begin with a no-host cocktail hour at 5 p.m. Dinner is served promptly at 6 p.m., and the presentation is at 7 p.m. Call 480-488-8031 for reservations.
