Last night at dinner, discussion came up about whether it’s a good idea to go back to school during a recession.

Of course it is! You’re going to be toughing it out on a student budget whether the economy’s good or bad, so you may as well bide your time, study hard, and then bust out with a new career once the worst of the crisis is over.

If the culinary world sounds appealing, why not see if you’re cut out to be a chef? Arizona Culinary Institute is holding an open house this Saturday, January 17, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., with cooking demonstrations, food samples, and staff on hand to answer all kinds of questions.
