An early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives.

Make your reservations today for the highly anticipated Duncan Farm Dinner at Binkley’s in Cave Creek. The dinner takes place tomorrow, Wednesday, May 19th at 6:30. Start out the evening with passed hors d’oeuvres and sparkling wine, continue with spring bean salad, sweet pepper soup, seared marlin and veal tenderloin and wrap up the fest with buttermilk-brown sugar pannacotta. $85 per person and $35 for the optional wine pairing. Call 480-437-1072 for reservations.

Especially for the good hearted epicurean with deep pockets, Wednesday

is the Flavors of Phoenix 2010 gourmet fundraiser at the Westin Kierland Resort and Spa. Thirty top chefs from around the Valley including Christopher Gross (Christopher’s), Michael DeMaria(Heirloom) and Silvana Salcido-Esparza (Barrio Cafe), will prepare a mind-blowing meal for their own 12 person table. This event benefits the American Liver Foundation. For more information click here.

Will you step up to support New Times this year?

At New Times, we’re small and scrappy — and we make the most of every dollar from our supporters. Right now, we’re $16,000 away from reaching our December 31 goal of $30,000. If you’ve ever learned something new, stayed informed, or felt more connected because of New Times, now’s the time to give back.

$30,000

We can’t keep it a secret any longer. One of our favorite places online for dresses, shoes and vintage goodness is also one of the best places to find super-cute kitchen stuff such as these Kitty Cat Ceramic Measuring Cups. Our only complaint is that the good stuff sells out too fast! Click here to find new treasures for your kitchen.
