What can we say? We’re suckers for a good cause. Hoodlums Music’s Art Rocks! event is certainly a good one. The indie record store is teaming with Arts Council for Youth, Marcos de Niza High School, Kyrene Middle School, and the City of Tempe for the Saturday, December 10 gig, which combines arts, crafts, and music from Marcos de Niza and Kyrene School District students.
Our arty sister blog Jackalope Ranch will have all the details regarding art, but on the musical front student bands Large Marge and Richocet Reloaded are scheduled to perform.
Large Marge, a ’60s-inspired combo, are all students at Seton Catholic High. Ricochet Reloaded, a “blend of rock, blues and alternative,” recently competed in Alice Cooper’s: The Proof is in the Pudding finals.
The festivities are scheduled to go down on Saturday, December 10, from 6-9 PM at Hoodlums Music, with all proceeds benefiting the art & education programs in the Tempe Union and Kyrene School Districts.
