If you’re looking to volunteer your time in exchange for some face time with Captain Kirk and a slew of your fellow geeks, take note: Phoenix Comicon organizers are looking for volunteers.
The 12th annual celebration of all things pop-culture, comic, sci-fi, and intergallactic travel-related is scheduled for May 24 to 27, 2012 at the Phoenix Convention Center. Volunteer opportunities include positions in the operations, programming, marketing, guest relations, technology departments and include sweet compensation packages based on positions.
This year’s event features visits by actor William Shatner, artists including George Perez, Arthur Suydam, Billy Tucci, Greg Horn, Stuart Immonen, and authors including Kris Neri, Kevin Hearne, Weston Ochse, Tom Leveen, Gini Koch, James A. Owen, to name a few.
All volunteers must attend planning meetings and sign volunteer agreements. For more information on positions available, click here.
And if you’d rather spend the weekend in costume, hanging with your favorite pop-culture celebs, single-day tickets (prices vary) and full event memberships ($35 until December 31) are available online.
