Arizona arts community members — including administrators, educators, artists, and supporters — come together every year for a day dedicated to promoting the impact of arts in the state.
This year, the Arizona Arts Congress is slated to take over the Arizona State Capitol Building on Monday February 4 with a full day of workshops, information sessions, and opportunities to rub-elbows and harass state legislators about current projects and initiatives on your agenda.

The event is open to the public and individual meetings with state legislators can be scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. From 10 a.m. to noon, local arts administrators will lead arts policy workshops including “An Insiders’ Look at the State Legislature” by Former State Rep. Jennifer Burns and Former State Sen. Tim Bee, and “Arizona Commission on the Arts Grants Information Session” with info about current grants and funding.

From 1 to 2 p.m., attendees will have the opportunity to visit the State Senate and House galleries, attend policy workshops, and present ideas to the Legislature.
Registration is $25 per person. Check in begins at 9 a.m. and lunch boxes will be available at 11 a.m.. Registration includes, training, meeting materials, coffee, snacks, lunch and bottled water.
