Want to know what new release discs and platters are moving across the Valley at local record stores? We’ve got you covered with another installment of What’s Selling.

Now that Black Friday is mercifully behind us, we can move on to Music Store Monday. A day that doesn’t require you to form a line at midnight, get trampled by hordes of overzealous bargain shoppers or even pepper sprayed to grab your special holiday record releases.

Record shops across the Valley including Zia Records,, Hoodlums and Revolver Records celebrated the craziest shopping season of the year with extended hours, discounts and Record Store Day limited edition releases to help celebrate Buy Local Week.

Curious about which records you should put on your shopping list? Peep out Stinkweeds‘ best sellers of the week. After weeks of dominance, Tom Waits has finally been dethroned. Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings are this week’s top spot holders with their funky RSD exclusive release, Soul Time!, followed by North Carolina natives Crooked Fingers.

Crooked Fingers will be playing tonight at Club Red in Tempe. You can pick up tickets for the show at Stinkweeds as well as the rest of this week’s list on What’s Selling.
