One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local,

We’ve seen murals created with traditional paint, airbrush, paper and paste, and even dirt, but Alexandre Farto, aka Vhils takes a different approach.
The Portuguese street artist has been known to take a jackhammer to a wall to create depth, but his most recent work is a little more, well, explosive. Farto doesn’t give much insight into what he calls the “precise detonation of plaster and brick,” but we can think of a few vacant walls in Phoenix that could use a little excitement, Vhils-style.
