Reader support matters more than ever
We're in the final stretch of our summer campaign. Our goal is to raise $15,000 by August 9 to support the journalism our community relies on. Reader support is helping shape the future of local news.
The First Friday scene is a different beast during the summer — school’s out, heat’s on, and this summer, a few galleries are closing their doors.
We took some notes this past First Friday (see our slideshow here) and asked locals including artist Sarah Hurwitz, Modified Arts Associate Director Adam Murray, and A.R.T.S. Market vendors Emily and Susanna Dart what their predictions are for the monthly event’s future and how the Downtown arts community has changed.
Their answers are after the jump in a video by New Times‘ Adele Hampton.
