Advertising Can't Do It Alone
The challenges facing local news organizations are very real. That's why reader support matters more than ever. If you believe independent journalism matters, make a contribution today and help us reach our summer fundraising goal of $15,000 by August 9.
Designers need to have a great eye for aesthetics, sure. But everyone knows the real winners know how to collaborate.
Get some work done and touch base with fellow local designers at two events this Thursday, November 18 (find out more after the jump).
First up is the Bring Your Own Design (BYOD) event at CO+HOOTS. The collaborative work space invites creatives to haul in their latest ideas for a friendly feedback and critique session. It goes down from 12:30 to 2 p.m. and participants are encouraged to bring grub to share. Free admission.
Dojo Collective hosts their monthly MakeShift event that gives designers some space after hours to work on personal projects (i.e. nothing for your clients). The idea is for designers to revive their passions for the industry while collaborating with other participants. MakeShift happens Thursday, November 18 from 8 to 11:30 p.m. and on the third Thursday of every month. Click here to RSVP and for location details.
