Robert Perez, singer in country band Junction 10, doesn’t fit the mold as far as the appearance of a typical country musician goes. But that doesn’t matter because he’s more talented than most local country musicians. Although he comes from a metal background, he was already opening for Shooter Jennings when he played his second country show ever. Moreover, Perez enjoys his job as a musician and doesn’t give a damn about fame.
Deerhunter have gone through a string of band members with the weirdest names ever. More importantly, their albums have gotten rave reviews from Pitchfork. Meanwhile, it seems like everyone hates on Nickelback to the point where Canadians think their country should disown them and Americans think Canada should take them back. But is this hatred valid?
