In last week’s installment of my column Revolver in New Times, I issue a call to arms for DJ’s to kick out mix cds and hit me up with them, because I don’t see enough of that shit. Well, a few days ago when I was interviewing Brad B and Foundation of Drunken Immortals and the Insects, I was informed that D.I.’s DJ and Blunt Club resident Pickster Uno has kicked out ten different mix cds in the last three months. To that I say, hit me up Picks! I’m eagerly awaiting them.
And coincidentally, just today I got a package from an old Tempe roommate, Professor Anomaly (aka Brady Erchinger) who now lives in Seattle of seventeen mix cd’s; actually they’re series, one seven disc ensemble called 7 Wonders of the World, another seven disc collection called the 7 Deadly Sins, and a three disc set called Grande Huevos.
