One new idea for every day in 2011. We’re talking big, small, local, international, in action and on the drawing board. Here’s today’s — what’s yours?

UK-based street artist Mobstr writes that he calls himself so for three reasons:

1.He owned a pet lobster called mobster
2.Like real mobsters, he partakes in illegal business. His illegal activity is painting walls without permission, not being a member of an organised crime gang.
3.The third reason is to do with mirrors.

He’s known for his social commentary, and his recent (and very public) criticism of anti-graffiti groups and law enforcement, who “buff out” or paint over local graffiti and street art, as pictured above.
