Suit up and grab your leg lamp — Mesa’s Royale and Nile theaters are pairing up to host a special holiday screening of A Christmas Story inside The Nile.
On Thursday, December 22, escape the holiday party, bring the kids (and maybe some ear muffs, a few lawn chairs and blankets) and camp out for the show in front of the big screen.

A Christmas Story, directed by Bob Clark and written by Jean Shepherd (based on the novel “In God We Trust, All Others Pay Cash”), was billed as “A tribute to the Original, Traditional, One-Hundred-Percent, Red-Blooded, Two-Fisted, All-American Christmas.”
The 90-minute film stars a young Ralphie (played by Peter Billingsley), who grows up in Indiana in the 1940s and only dreams of owning a Red Rider BB gun, despite the warnings and refusals of his mother, school teachers — even Santa Claus.
Hot cocoa and cookies will be provided and all guests will have the chance to take a free holiday photo.

Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online or at Lo Fi Coffee and The Nile.
