While I usually write about music for Under the Sun, I wouldn’t be doing my part if I didn’t mention Chippendales.The long-running male revue will return to the Celebrity Theatre Saturday, May 2 for some strip show fun. Chippendales (named the “Best Male Strip Show in Last Vegas” by the Las Vegas Review Journal) features 100% grade-A certified beefcake taking on the form of cowboys, doctors and policeman, then stripping down to their skivvies through various musical numbers.
And if you think the men put on a show, watch the women who are a lot rowdier than one would expect – I reviewed a Chippendales show (yes, reviewed) a few years back for the East Valley Tribune and believe me, these girls get crazy. So crazy I thought I might get trampled when one of the dancers made his way into our section.
Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the nearly nakedness begins at 9 p.m. Tickets are $20-$35 for the 18-and-older performance.
