If there’s one thing author Travis Smith and historian Marshall Shore have in common, it’s a love for nostalgia — especially of the holiday variety.
The two will be at Phoenix Metro Retro next week for an open house and holiday party featuring history vignettes by Shore in his Retro Spectacular-style and a presentation by Smith, who will also be signing his book on all-things-retro-Christmas, “Kitschmasland!“.
The event, on Thursday December 8, is from 6 to 9 p.m. and admission is free. Shore says Retro will also be host to several vendors with retro and modern holiday goods with some “killer” seasonal decorations on sale.
Phoenix Metro Retro is at 708 W. Hazelwood St.. For more information, check out the Retro website.
