On the Underfull, spilled milk (or soda, or wine) never looked so cool.
The tablecloth, by Norwegian designer Kristine Bjaadal, has a pattern that first appears when wet and absorbs the color of the spill.
“This creates stories and can contribute in giving the tablecloth sentimental value,” she writes. “[It’s] important in a society where we seem to have an increasingly superficial relation to the objects we surround ourselves with.”
According to the Bjaadal, the cloth’s pattern grows with use and over time, and can be washed between uses (and spills).
