As I type this, Diddy is still rocking the stage at Axis/Radius. The hip-hop mogul hit the stage around midnight, accompanied by smoke, lights, screams, and, of course, a massive entourage.
Diddy’s knack for recycling rock riffs was apparent early on in the set, with the guitar riff from Rick Springfield’s “Jessie’s Girl” set against a dance beat.
Diddy works the crowd like a master showman, instructing them when and want to chant: “Say I-Like-It! Say I-love-it!”
Diddy didn’t walk down the red carpet, slipping through a side entrance instead, but once he got onstage, there was no doubt Diddy was here. The crowd’s still going nuts, even if this is a new stage show Diddy’s trying out.
At this point, everybody’s drunk and disorderly, and it’s lovely. Thanks for maximizing the party vibe, Diddy.

Mark C. AustinThanks for playing our party, Diddy. Watch a slideshow from the party.
