Don’t be caught sleeping, or you might just miss the Dustball Rally‘ers as they head through the Greater Phoenix area.
The Dustball 2000 began at the terribly early hour of 4 a.m. at the starting line in El Paso, and so far the clues have lead them through Arizona to their first checkpoint.

Dave Maass (who, full disclosure, is a former New Times writer) is documenting the event live, while he and many other teams continue to post about their ongoing antics on Twitter.

The organizers were coy about where the scavenger hunt would take them, but the hashtag has recent tweets locating them from East Mesa to West Phoenix, with other teams already at the mystery checkpoint.
You can follow their antics live, which mainly consist of warnings of cops, confrontations with cops, and photos of cops.
So if you happen to see 5-0 along the I-10, make sure you hit up #dustball.
