Western PA indie act Black Moth Super Rainbow will the Rhythm Room Sunday night — and I promise my late mention of this show has nothing to do with my feelings about Pittsburghers.

BMSR’s hazy and experimental indie rock is often farcical (just look at the band roster for their stage names) but can also lull you with sleepy robotic sounds and soothing bits of chunky bass. And, yes, they’re a lot better than The Povertyneck Hillbillies, the official band of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
