Since there’s really no better accessory than a cocktail in your hand, each week brings you a tasty adult beverage from one of our favorite drinking establishments, complete with recipe.
This week: The Count Negroni at Citizen Public House
With a new year comes new opportunity, new restaurants and most importantly, new cocktails. If you’re into independent foodie endeavors by locals who know a thing or two about exceptional food and drink, then Old Town Scottsdale’s Citizen Public House may just be your new best friend.
A bar that’s equipped with a cleaver, macerating juicer, immersion blender, blowtorch and an endless supply of crafted liquors, is a bar we’re gonna go ahead and trust … but not before taste-testing some of CPH mixologist Richie Moe’s booze infused brainchildren.
The Count Negroni is just one of our favorites, keeping things real with its clean, classic flavor and adding a dash of new age swagger.
(Recipe after the jump.)
Ingredients:
¾ oz Junipero Gin
¾ oz Campari
¾ oz Carpano sweet vermouth
Fill old fashioned glass with ice, gin, Campari and vermouth. Give ingredients a quick stir and garnish with a toasted orange peel. A 1940s history lesson in a glass? We’ll take two.
