Former Arizona State University quarterback Andrew Walter wants to be a congressman.
Walter, a Republican, would have to beat out the rest of the Republican field, then presumably defeat Democratic Congresswoman Kyrsten Sinema to do so.

Walter’s candidacy was first reported by the Arizona Capitol Times, and it’s true, according to Walter’s filing with the Federal Election Commission.
We don’t know what Walter’s all about, but we’re pretty sure he’s not the best ASU quarterback for the job. Of course, we’re talking about Rudy Carpenter. Consult the following table we made in Microsoft Paint:
It looks like the slight edge goes to Carpenter here.
