A fist-fight gone wrong has left a 5-year-old boy in critical condition after one of the men involved in the fight shot up the house in which the boy was sleeping.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, last night, an 18-year-old man, who was also shot, was in a fight with another man in an alley near 29th Avenue and Taylor Road.
The fist-fight ended but one of the men involved in the fight left the scene, grabbed a gun, and went back to the scene with some friends.
The man started shooting at the house, in which the 5-year-old was sleeping on a couch.
A bullet went through the wall and hit the boy in the chest.
The 18-year-old involved in the initial fist-fight took a bullet in the
leg, and another 15-year-old victim was also shot. Another unidentified
man was also shot.
The victims were taken to St. Joseph’s Hospital where they were each in critical condition as of this morning.
After unloading on the house, the suspects jumped in several cars and sped off. No arrests have been made.
The Phoenix Police Department says it’s investigating the shooting as
gang retaliation. No suspect descriptions have been released.
